Last Friday we launched a school app called tiqbiz. Each student received a pack containing individual registration information. This app is NOT part of Sentral. For ongoing reporting and individual student absence information, you will still need to access Sentral. The school will be using tiqbiz to send out the school newsletter, general updates, reminders, events and much, much more! tiqbiz is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android Phone, Android Tablet and Windows phone devices. We kindly ask that you download tiqbiz on your device, register a free account then find and tick the school.

Download and register with the tiqbiz app before 9am Friday 10 June and you will go in the draw to win a class prize!!!

Kind Regards, The Communication Sub Committee Parking and Driving Around the School In recent weeks several parents have expressed concern about the safety of students and the traffic problems around the school both in the mornings and at the end of the school day. Neighbours have contacted the school, reporting various concerns regarding morning drop offs. Parents are asked to diligently obey the road rules and council parking restrictions in order to ensure the safety of all of the families at Wembley Primary School. Parking officers regularly patrol the local school environment to monitor the parking conditions and issue infringements, if warranted.

End of Term 2 The term will end on Friday 24 June with an assembly at 2.00pm. At this end of term assembly the major raffle prizes will be drawn and dismissal will follow at 2.15pm. Students Riding Bicycles to School Another area of concern is the safety of students riding their bikes to school. On Friday afternoon it was reported to the school that several Wembley students were riding their bikes along Wembley Avenue, not holding onto the handle bars and riding unsafely. It has also been reported that students were riding across Francis Street and not using the school crossing. All students who ride their bikes to school are expected to wear a properly fitted safety helmet, obey all road rules and ride in a safe and sensible manner. If students need to cross Wembley Avenue or Francis Street they must do so at the crossings that are supervised by a School Crossing Supervisor every afternoon. ART SHOWS - Term 3 2016 The dates for the Art Shows for this year have been announced and as follows for your information: Junior School Exhibition - Wednesday 27 - Saturday 30 July Senior School Exhibition - Wednesday 31 August - Saturday 3 September. The Art Shows will take a different format this year and this will be explained to parents later this term. Ruth Branthwaite and Matt Symmons, Art teachers have been collaborating and planning the event and there will many exciting things in store for our school community.
