Who we areCareerforce is New Zealand’s industry training organisation (ITO) for aged support, disability support, health and wellbeing, home and community, mental health and addictions support, social services, youth work, cleaning and pest management.

What we doCareerforce designs NZQA recognised qualifications and develops programmes, learning resources and assessments.

Put simply, we:. set national skill standards for our industries. provide information and advice to trainees and their

employers. arrange for the delivery of on-job training (including

developing training packages for employers). arrange for the assessment of trainees. arrange the monitoring of quality training

Getting startedCareerforce training is employer-led with more than 90% of training occurring in the workplace.

Still at school?Careerforce has training pathways for secondary students through Gateway – doing WELL and YOUTH work.

Already working or volunteering?To be a Careerforce supported trainee, you need to be working (paid or unpaid) within the sectors we support.
