Becky Lashbrook NATIVITY ALMGIVING OPPORTUNITIES 1. CAM Gift Tags - The Christmas gift tags from CAM have arrived. They are on the white board in the fellowship hall. There is a sheet of paper with the tag number/letter combination, e.g. 101A. When you take a tag(s) then write your name on the line beside the tag number/letter combination. The tag has the gift suggestions or sizes the person request- ed. After obtaining the gift(s), then wrap the gift and secure the tag on the wrapped gift. The gifts need to be returned to the church by Sunday, Dec. 13th, so CAM can pick them up on Mon., Dec. 14th. If we run out of tags, and you want more, contact Matu- shka Becky, and she will pick up some more. They recommend that you spend around $15, although if you want to spend a little more, that’s ok, too. If you should lose your gift tag, contact Matushka Becky, because she has photos of all the gift tags. 2. Motorcycles for Priests in Kenya - Bp. Paul has asked that we collect money over the Nativity fastin g period to be used to purchase motorcycles for Orthodox priests in Kenya. They cover large terri- tories, with often rough roads, and the motorcycles would be very helpful in their rapidly growing minis- try. He would like to collect enough money for the diocese to cover the cost of 10 motorcycles, at a price of about $1000 each. If you can contribute, please put your gift in the special basket in the nave, and mark checks with “motorcycles for Kenya”. 3. Quilt for Silent Auction - Have you noticed the beautiful quilt in the fellowship hall? Our talented sister, Karen Trusty, has made it to be auctioned off in a silent auction, for the benefit of our building fund. Please look for the silent auction sheet on the white board, and be generous. You can write in as many bids as you like, if someone outbids you. If Orthodoxy is new to you, you may have lots of quesons! We’ll do our best to help. During Holy Communion, non-Orthodox Chrisans are warmly welcome to seek a blessing from the priest, and/or to partake of the blessed bread on the small table — if you’d like. The Eucharist in the Orthodox Church is intended for those who have been educated in, and accepted, the beliefs and pracces of the Orthodox Chrisan Faith, and who have been bapzed and/or chrismated into that Faith. We would not impose on you any profession of belief (through Communion—or any oth- er pracce—with which you may not agree or feel comfortable. Page 1 Welcome, Visitors!
