Welcome Visitors & Newcomers A warm welcome to visitors & newcomers! It is great to have you worship with us today. Please complete the information in the black welcome pads as they are passed and then pass it to your neighbor. Please take a welcome packet from the tables at the entrance. At New Life we host an open table for Holy Communion. All are welcome to receive this free gift of God’s grace. We believe Jesus is ‘really present’ in, with and under the bread and wine. Even though the bread and wine do not change in physical form, Jesus presence in, with and under the bread and wine makes this much more than a remembrance or symbol of God’s love. Because of Christ’s presence we also believe the real effects or benefits of this meal are; the forgiveness of sin, life with God here and the promise of life with God to come. Children are welcome to come forward for a blessing. First communion instruction is scheduled before Holy Week for 2nd grade students. Gluten free wafers are also available for those that prefer that option. Note: The wine is red and the grape juice is white. The nursery is staffed during worship and is located south of the worship space. There is a place for you here. August 25, 2019 11th Sunday after Pentecost Our summer series will explore some of the real people of the bible who had a real and deep faith. These characters that we know so well, were incredibly flawed people too. God not only called, empowered & used them, but God uses, calls, & empowers the ordinary, flawed and sinful people of today too. Each week, we will meet a real person of the bible who God used, called and equipped. God used them to witness of his faithfulness and his promise to always be with us. Here’s the reality, we are flawed, ordinary and sinful, and God uses us to be witnesses too. You are empowered and equipped to be a witness to God who is faithful and just and whose mercy endures forever. 8.25.19 11th Sunday after Pentecost 8.25.19 8:15 am 8.25.19 10:30 am 9.1.19 8:15 am 9.1.19 10:30 am Ushers Thrompsons Porters Ordals Mike Geisler & Spencer Taylor Media Eugene Schultze Cody Bales Karen Chapman Sandy Anderson Reader Jim Jones Rob Eklov Kay Muller Kristen Geisler Greeter Ron Fels Kari & Jackson Verlaine Hayes Theresa Drew Coffee Allyson Seymour Emily Blom Jim Jones Donna Sleeth Kathryn Leverman Karen Porter Servers TBD Krista Place & Richard Geist Loebes Drews Nursery n/a Daira Driftmier n/a Audrey Harryman Scrip Kathy Weeks Leslie Merriman n/a n/a Host Abbie Olson Laura Kimball Abbie Olson Emily Blom Counter Ron Fels Barb Anderson Karen Chapman Lisa Smith Altar Guild Lisa Smith Allison Halvorson
