Traditional Don Turner Mission Update - Ends of the Earth Council Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19th, 5:30pm in the church conference room. Christmas Box Guidelines for All ages: Comb, brush, toothbrush, washcloth, bar soap packaged or in a container, age appropriate hair accessories for girls, pencils/manual sharpener, colored pencils, crayons, markers, pens, coloring books or pads, age appropriate books, notebook, glue stick/not liquid, small adhesive tape, play dough (try to include cookie cutters, etc.), stickers, erasers, ruler. Dates to be announced soon! WOW TOYS: Soccer ball (deflated, be sure to include a manual pump to r e- inflate), stuffed animal, small instrument (harmonica, recorder), foam ball. AGES 2-4: Outfit of clothing. AGES 5-9: Play cars, trucks, boats; doll (try to include extra outfits), puzzles, baseball and mitt, yo-yo, hackysack. AGES 10-14: backpack, compact mirror, stick deodorant, nail clipper and file, sunglasses, marbles, watch, purse. THINGS NOT TO INCLUDE: Candy, toothpaste, gum, used or damaged items, war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures, chocolate or food, seeds, fruit rolls or other fruit snacks, drink mixes (powdered or liquid), medi- cations or vitamins, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers, candles or aerosol cans. Since we last spoke: The discipleship schools that run from February to August were joyfully graduated and released back to their home countries (and beyond). Mayce was part of her first “staff training weeks” as part of the leadership team, which included her teaching on topics such as “Spending Time With God” and “How to Facilitate a Small Group.” (She also had the opportunity to use her university degree in a more obvious way, by teaching on “Social Media and Marketing.” for the cafe internship that our center runs). The Pathfinders discipleship training school that Mathias is leading, officially began this past Wednesday!!!...For more info on our work, check out the back of the prayer sheet! Mayce & Mathias Simonsen Wink and Glyn Kelso: We will be in Dallas for several days spending time with Rosie, her brother James and their parents. We pray for an anointed time with her and the family. Thank you for your continued prayers for her healing! We leave Sept. 14th to minister in Ohio at a convocation for 100 churches. Please pray for favor as we lead two workshops and develop relationships with new churches. Glyn will be speaking at a Women’s Retreat in early October. Pray for anointing, wisdom and revelation. Please pray for new and creative ways to impact the lives of missionaries and local churches in the US. Discipling Our Nations Effectively, Inc. D.O.N.E. Patrick Novak, DMin, PhD The latest mission trip to D.O.N.E. Senegal, got home on July 10th. Our team spent nine days “in country” and other than the unusually blistering hot weather, all on the team came away thinking that God had blessed us and the ministry. Merge Youth will be offering reserved parking spots in our lots for $20.00 each on a “first come-first serve” basis for the Comal County Fair Day Parade, with all proceeds going towards the Annual Youth Trip.
