General Discipline @ YTPS
Yew Tee Primary SchoolReflective Learners, Gracious Citizens
A comprehensive description of the rules and regulations adopted at YTPS
is given in the Student Handbook. (pg 19-26)
Students who are booked four times for late coming will be issued a
letter of warning followed by a call to their parents. Late coming offences
will be recorded into School Offences Module (SOM) records and student’s
conduct grade will be affected.
‘FASHION’ Checks are carried out twice per term to ensure students comply
with school’s dress code & hairstyles. A student’s conduct grade may be
affected if they fail to keep in FASHION. As such, the school hopes to work
closely with parents to reinforce this.
The school adopts a holistic approach to discipline and the consequences
that follow to offences committed is a restorative one rather than a punitive
one.
Parents need to acknowledge on the Student Handbook (pg 26) that they
are aware of the school rules and that they have gone through them (e.g.
categories of offences and consequences) with their child/ward.

Primary 3 Swimsafer Programme
Semester 1 - 2018
Yew Tee Primary SchoolReflective Learners, Gracious Citizens
SwimSafer is a national water safety programme introduced
since July 2010.
It aims to teach swimming proficiency and water survival
skills to children to minimize drowning incidences.
These skills are necessary in view that more than 60% of
drowning incidences in Singapore from 2005 to 2008
occurred in open waters such as seas, rivers and
reservoirs.
