Trainers are more suitable for outdoor PE.
UNIFORM

Assessment and SATsEvery child's progress is monitored each term to ensure that they are meeting their next steps. If we are worried that a child is falling behind we will arrange a meeting with you.
Yes, we still ‘do SATs’ in Year 2. In Year 2 SATs are completed in a fun and stress-free way. English SATs are completed as a normal writing lesson where children are getting to ‘show off’ their writing skills.
Any child that did not pass the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check during Year 1 will retake it in Term 5 of Year 2.
Home LearningWorking with us to give your child the very best start in life.
Numeracy passportReadingHomework
By the age of 7 children have decided if school ‘is for them.’
Reading, Phonics and Spelling• Every child will be heard twice a week.
Once in group reading, once 1:1 with the teacher. This is recorded in their Reading Message book that is sent home. Children are expected to read a little every day.
• Phonics and spelling are taught alongside each other. Children will receive learning activities based on phonics and spelling.
Home Learning• Home Learning is an activity that children
should do with Mum, Dad or even Granny! It gives them a chance to share what they are learning and for you to ask questions.
