Career Progression: General Policies

• Additional Accomplishments (Evidence of Prof. Dev. &/or service such as):– Undergraduate Advising; Lab Scheduling; Curriculum Development; Outreach Program
Participation; Workshop Attendance; In Service Training; Committee Work; Mentoring Participation; etc.

Career Progression: Deadlines
• First Friday of January - CP Packet due to Faculty Senate Office
• First Friday of February - IASCPC recommendations due to Provost Office
• Within 14 days of receiving IASCPC recommendations - Provost recommendations due to HR
• Within 7 days of receiving Provost decisions - HR issues notification letters to all IAS applicants
• July 1 of Next Academic Year - New Title takes Effect

IAS Appeals Process
• Formal appeals process to be in place by December 30, 2007– Will address issues of CP, workload, etc.
• Until then - contact a member of the IAS Committee
Contracts• Most IAS have 1-year fixed-term terminal
contracts (August 27, 2007 - May 25, 2008)
• Deans have discretion in recommending multi-year contracts, first considering– Long-term programmatic needs– IAS individuals in higher titles
• IAS Committee will be addressing the issue of Contracts during 2007-8 AY
