Furniture and Bed LoftingYou may rearrange your furniture to your liking;however,youneedtoknowafewthings.Decideonthearrangementwithyourroommate(s),notbyyourself.Whenyoumoveout,youmustreturnyourfurniturebacktohowit’sarrangedtoday.Theonlyexceptionisyourbed:Ifyoureconfigureyourbedheight,itmayremainatthatheight.Anyadjustmentstoyourbed require a service request. Each resident must submit a service request for their own bed;yourroommatecannotsubmitaservicerequest for you. Cleaning/CustodialIf you live in Segundo or Tercero, custodial staff will not be entering your room to clean it. They clean the common or shared spaces, such as the lounges andbathrooms.Cuartoresidentswillreceivecustodial service for their bathrooms every two weeks.Allresidentsmustcleantheirownrooms.

Student Housing policy does not allow personal wireless access points (WAP) in locations where eduroam is provided. We will continue to add eduroam service to the residence halls. If you live in Emerson Hall or Webster Hall, which do not have eduroam service, you may install a personally owned WAP.RCAassistanceisavailabletohelpsetupyourWAP,andself-helpinstructionsareavailable at housing.ucdavis.edu/computers.
The instructions include important information you should know about using a personal wireless device and the risks and responsibilities you assume.
Residential Computing SupportResidential computing support services are tailored to meet the most common needs of studentslivingintheresidencehalls.TheRCAswhoprovidecomputingsupportassistwith:

Why are we seeing an increase in bedbugs?Bedbugs are present in all 50 states and can befoundanywhere,eveninfive-starhotels.They are becoming more resistant to pesticides, whichmakestreatingthemmuchmoredifficult.
What to look for:• Bedbugsareasix-legged,flat,reddish-
browninsect.Adultsareaboutthesizeof a pencil eraser. They give off a sweet odor described as rotting coconuts.
• Theyprefertohideincracksandcrevices near where you sleep.
• They hide during the day and come out at night.
• They only travel short distances, which is why they are usually found on bedding and beds.
• Theyliketohitchridesonluggageandfurniture. Be careful what furniture you bring into your home.
• If you notice bites on your body or a mild rash with small itchy bumps in a linear or clustered pattern, you may havebedbugs.Ifyouareexperiencinga severe reaction to the bites, contact a doctor for treatment.
