A Day in a Garment Workers Life
I am Reshma. I am a garment worker. I am eighteen years old.
There was a famine in Kurigram that year
There were no crops, no food and no work in the North.
So our family came to Dhaka

My father was a rickshaw puller .
He died by an accident.
My uncle Ratan helped us.
He took me to a garment factory in Mirpure area. I now work there.
My younger brother is Babul. He’s seven and goes to a Govt. primary school.
We live with our mother.
She stiches nakshi kathas at home and sells them to others.
