The Library further endeavors to stimulate and encourage the development of lifelong learning. Vision Statement The traditional purpose of an academic library is to support the curriculum. This can be accomplished in a nontraditional way by relying heavily on electronic resources, as well as print and non-print materials. A 21st century library is also dedicated to the provision of information literacy. Most importantly, the purpose of the Edward Waters College Library is to focus on the nature of the academic programs and of the student body served, demanding nothing less. Library Goals To facilitate student and faculty academic learning and research. To support the college curriculum. To enhance classroom instruction. To promote the professional, ethical, and social growth of the whole college family. The Library is guided by the principles of the Library Bill of Rights in the development of its programs and services.
