Guarantees:
A minimum guarantee of your anticipated number of guests is required by 12:00 noon, three (3) business days prior to the event (72 business hours) , not subject to reduction. This is a minimum number for which you will be charged. An increase in the guaranteed
attendance will be accepted up to 24 hours before the function (48 hours on weekends) .
The hotel will “set” and prepare food 3% over the final guaranteed attendance. If the number of guests exceeds the 72-hour guaranteed number of guests by more than 3% on the night of the event, a charge of 1.5 times the cost per person will be applied to each additional guest over the 3%. If the guaranteed attendance is not received by your Event Manager, the expected number of guests on the contract
will serve as the guarantee.
Menu selections, room requirements and all other arrangements must be received ten (10) days prior to the event.
Service Charge and Sales Tax:
All food, beverage and equipment rental prices quoted are subject to a 24% service charge (subject to change at anytime) plus the applicable California sales tax. The service charge is taxable.
Labor Fees:
Servers may be added to your event at $35.00 per server, per hour with a four (4) hour minimum required.
Food and Beverage:
Once the contract is signed and returned to the hotel, any catering prices quoted on your contract are guaranteed. Prices are subject to
change if quoted rates have not been stated on the contract.
The hotel must supply all food and beverages. Food and beverage is not allowed to be removed from the property due to certain liabilities. We reserve the right to confiscate food or beverage that is brought onto the property.

Deposits and Payment:
A deposit of 35% of the food and beverage minimum is required upon receipt of the signed contract. An additional 35% will be required thirty (30) days prior to the event date. Full payment will be due three (3) days prior to the event date. All other incremental charges will be
settled with the credit card placed on the account.
Banquet Rooms:
Function rooms are assigned according to the anticipated guaranteed number of guests and carry a revenue minimum. If there are fluctuations in the number of attendees, the hotel reserves the right to assign a more suitable banquet space, which may fluctuate the
charges and additional room rental fee or minimums. All diagrams must be pre-approved.
Tasting:
We offer a tasting for up to four (4) people. Scheduling arrangements can be made with your Event Manager.
Parking:
Valet and self-parking is available. Please see your Catering Manager for current rates.
Security:
The hotel cannot be responsible for damage to or loss of any articles or merchandise left in the hotel prior to or following your event. Arrangements may be made for security through your Catering Manager. The hotel shall have final approval on any and all security
personnel to be utilized during your function.
Due to the size and nature of your event, the hotel may require you to provide security, at your expense. All off-site security services must be bonded and licensed in the state of California. Proof of insurability, naming the San Diego Marriott Del Mar as the additional insured,
must be provided 72 hours prior to your event.
Marriott Rewards:
Enjoy the benefits of earning three (3) points per dollar spent (before service charge and sales tax) for your wedding. Maximum of 50,000 Rewarding Events Points per event.
