Introduction

• You will be introduced to a variety of experiences that explore a range of photographic media, techniques and processes.

• You will explore relevant artists and photographers throughout your projects and this will be integral to the investigating and making processes.

• You will use a powerpoint to record your work and use photoshop to develop your images.

• You will be introduced to SLR cameras, macro lenses, studio lighting, editing techniques and more!

Assessment

• Component one: Portfolio (coursework)

• You will study a variety of themed based projects to develop your ideas covering 4 AQA assessment objectives

• Projects will be marked out of 96

• Your portfolio covers 60% of the final GCSE

• Component two – Externally Set Assignment (exam)

• You will respond to a chosen starting point from an externally set assignment paper

• You will have a preparatory period followed of 12ish weeks followed by a 10 hour practical exam

• Your exam covers 40% of final GCSE
