National Express West Midlands has 10 operating garages based in Acocks Green, Birmingham Central (near Digbeth), Bordesley, Perry Barr, Yardley Wood, Walsall, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Pensnett and NX Coventry and employs over 5,000 people. National Express West Midlands and Coventry are part of the National Express Group consisting of National Express Coaches Ltd and Eurolines – franchised coach operations in UK and Europe – and ALSA which operates bus and coach services throughout Spain. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT – FUNDED BY THE COMPANY Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid car driving licence showing no more than 6 penalty points or any disqualifications. The Company will pay for your provisional PCV licence application, PCV Medical and CPC Modules 1 to 4. You will also be paid during your period of training. The Company is committed to providing a comprehensive and quality based training programme, which incorporates practical driver training to pass a PCV Test, and all core skills required to complete the job role inclusive of Customer Care Skills, Disability and Mental Health Awareness, and local Garage Based Induction for route learning and vehicle type training. PAY You will be paid direct to a Bank or Building Society on a weekly basis. A basic hourly rate will apply. All work undertaken, including Saturday, Sunday and Bank holiday working, and any agreed overtime will be paid at the basic rate. All rates of pay are based upon your individual anniversary date with the Company. Starter Rate £8.74 Top rate, which is currently £9.78 will be achieved after 5 years service.
