About MeI love variety, challenges, team work, and telling stories from unique angles.
And I’ve got quite the eclectic writing background to prove it- as Walt Whitman writes, "I am large, I contain multitudes."
For the last four years, I’ve balanced being a writer with being an adjunct college instructor. I’ve prepped composition and creative writing curriculum and teaching, while writing copy, poetry or blogging as well as editing others work.
I especially have enjoyed creating copy for websites, interviewing others, creating unique editorial features, as well as engaging my classrooms through current events and pop culture related topics.
Read on to take a look at some of my work.
MY WORK IN ACTIONHenry David Thoreau writes, ”Simplify, Simplify.”
The most effective words are said simply, tactfully, and accurately, and I believe that writing and performing my poetry has prepared me best in the creation of meaningful and powerful writing.

Lord & Taylor, Wilkes-Barre: The Studio Pulse
To amp up communication and empower studio departments, I write and edit a newsletter that has strongly connected the team while clarifying inter-department information.
One of my favorite aspects of writing is the diversity. I’ve interviewed authors, plastic surgeons, spa and salon owners, nude art models, mattress store owners, dance instructors, motivational speakers, musicians, and actors to produce business profiles, copy, human interest pieces, and articles for business websites, weeklies such as: The Weekender and Philadelphia City Paper, and national publications such as: The Woman's Newspaper.

“I worked briefly with Erin at Sakari Salon. She helped me with a web project, writing web content for the site. Erin's work on Sakari's bios was creative. She helped edit and reflect each person's unique qualities. I would definitely work with her again.”
-Valerie Horchos @ Wyde Eyed Design Studio
As an adjunct college instructor and a book editor, managing others, making deadlines and dealing with shifting priorities is a must. Researching, checking information accuracy, editing and proofreading, and then communicating that material effectively and engaging the right audience is of utmost importance.
“Erin knows her stuff! She manages to fix the things that need fixing in a manuscript without losing the author’s voice. A rare talent.” – Paul Barretta, Owner of Talent Clearing House, Inc.
