Welcome to Mumble Jumble……The world’s toughest word game ! Important: This page explains how the game works. All the other pages are part of the game, so no peeking! (You may need to look at one other page to help you understand the rules). What to do now: Simple ! Print off the file, (or at least one page per person playing), take a moment to read this page and that’s it! You’re ready to play! Getting Ready: Each player will need a pen and some paper to write on. Place the printed sheets face down on the table. How to play: Each sheet has five anagrams on it. Those anagrams may be words, names or phrases but to make you life a bit easier, all the answers fit into a category (the category is shown at the top of the page to help you). The answers appear in a shaded box at the bottom of the page. Turn over one of the printed sheets so that everyone can see the category and the anagrams. Make sure that nobody can see the answers (how you do this depends on where you are playing: either you can fold over the bottom of the sheet to hide the answers or you can put the sheet a certain distance away from the players so that they cannot read the answers). Everyone then races to unscramble any three of the anagrams, writing down each answer as they find it. The first person who thinks they have solved three of the anagrams shouts “done” and everybody stops writing. The person who shouted “done” reads out all three of their solutions. If they are all correct, that player scores three points and nobody else scores any points at all. However if the person who shouted “done” has not got them all right then he/she loses three points and every other individual playing scores one point for each correct answer that they have written down. Then the next round begins in the same way as the last. Play as many rounds as there are people playing. The person with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. ______________________________________________________________ Copyright 2000 www.DirtyCheats.com .
