Making Web Site Changes: Basic Tutorial

This tutorial is designed to help you make changes on your own with your SiteDelux Web Site.

This will cover only the basics.

More tutorials are being created to help you with more involved changes.

You can always contact Jestek for help in changes you are having trouble with.

This basic tutorial session will cover:

-Login:How to log in.Basic Important info on login page.

-Basic changes:Add Text, Photos,Change Text, Photos, Move, Copy, Delete ItemsAdding a PagePreviewing Web SitePublishing Web Site

To access your Site Deluxe area of your web site you need to first go towww.jestek.net and click on Web Sites & Hosting button on the left.

Next you need to click the light teal box that reads Jestek Web Customers: Click Here To Go To Login

You will receive a unique user name and password for your web site.Your information is cap sensitive so enter carefully.

Then ClickLog In

This is your Jestek Web Site Login Page. Important Features:Edit my SiteDelux Web Site- green arrows, Open A Support Ticket blue arrow, Manage Email- red arrow

Your Login page may have a slightly different appearance depending on when your site was created.If you need help due to a different view contact Jestek.

Here is where your site is listed. Just click on the site name to enter SiteDelux work area.

This is your SiteDelux work area. Your web site will appear in the main window. The buttons we will talk about at the bottom of the window are the same on all Jestek Site Delux Web Sites.

These are the buttons that control changes made to your web site. We will cover most of the buttons in the lower image in this basic tutorial.

Navigation: To move around in SiteDelux to make changes to your Jestek Web Site you simply click around like you would on your web site on the web.

This makes moving from page to page easy.

ADDING TEXT:To enter new text: Go to the page you wish to add text and click the Add Text button. Then you will need to select where you want your new text to appear by clicking the blue Add it here button.

You will now see an ADD TEXT window.

Hint: When ever editing the text you have entered be sure to have text highlighted first. This window will allow you to do most of the same things that you can do in most other typing programs. When you glide over the buttons with your mouse a fly out will display with a descriptive title of the buttons action.

You would type your text in the open area of this window. You can also copy & paste text from an email or an office program.

Once you are finished typing & editing your text:Simply click Done.

ADDING PHOTOS: To enter new picture: Go to the page you wish to add a picture and click the Add Picture button. On the next window you will need to select where you want your new picture to appear by clicking the blue Add it here button.

You will now be in the Picture Gallery window. You may either upload a new photo or you may select an image from your existing gallery. There is also a clip art gallery you can choose from for general images. For most uploads you will use Simple Picture Uploads.

Editing Photos: First click on the Edit Picture Button

You will now be in the edit picture window. Follow along down the page and make selections for this picture. If you do not like what you have done go in again and make changes.You may also upload a new picture from this window too.

Deleting, Copying or Moving Items or Text: Choose one.

You will now select the item you wish to delete, copy or move. You will then select continue. In the case of move or copy, you will then find the location in your website that you wish to place the item and select it. In the case of delete Just hit done.

Previewing and Publishing Web Site:

At any point you can see what your web site will look like on the web by selecting Preview Site.It will open in a second functional window for you to view as it will appear on the web.

Once you are pleased with all of your changes, you may Publish to Web which puts your web site up on the internet.
