What we’re learning•Studying all things related to BIOLOGY- cells, genetics, evolution, ecology, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, etc..•Masters of the microscope.•Visiting and working in the Ecology Center. What’s that?•There will be research projects (individual and group). •Scientific investigations. That means the students ARE scientists!

What Are The Expectations For This Class?
Be on time… EVERYDAYCome to class prepared!!Participate, appropriately and cooperatively.Respect everyone and everything in the classroomAbsolutely no plagiarism of any kind… EVER!Follow all school rules
Classroom Procedures1. Be present for
double lab periods. If you “forget” that you have double lab, I will
count it as a cut.
2. Homework is due at the beginning of the period, not half way
through. Late is late!
3. Please participate (I LOVE to see hands up),
and come to class prepared everyday.
4. When you enter class, check the
agenda. If there is a warm-up, get your lab notebook and begin
working on it immediately.
5. Raise your hand 6. Do not abuse bathroom privileges
7. When you are absent, it is your
responsibility to find out what you missed.
Check the Absent Folder and ask some
friends!

absent on the day of a test
or quiz, expect to
make it up the day you return.
9. Get extra help
10 CLEAN UP after yourself
11. DO NOT line up at the door at the end of the
period.
Classroom RulesShow respect for other students, the teachers, and the classroom. Refrain from talking during instruction.Participate and cooperate in all classroom activities.Follow all school policies in student handbook.Absolutely NO cell phone use during class time.

•Supplies: Binder with 5 dividers and paper, Marble Composition book (lined, not graph), Colored Pencils (optional), Pen and Pencil
•Read entire syllabus and policies and procedures sheet. Ask questions on Wednesday
