our campus draws inspiration
from all over the world. How
many cultures can you count?

Park Telephone Company here in
Maitland—in his father’s general store!

Is your child one of our full day campers? Here’s what’s on the agenda from 2 pm—4 pm each day.
Monday
Art and Architecture Scavenger Hunt. Our campus is filled with such
amazing things to see. We’ll be taking our campers on an adventure around the Maitland Art Center as we hunt for clues in the buildings
and stonework.
Tuesday
Building Races. Group work is the name of the game today. Our
campers will work together in teams to create the strongest, tallest
towers. We’ll also be experimenting with different techniques to “build” fun crafts, including slime, mermaids, and window paint!
Wednesday
Puppet Workshop. Our very own Art School Manager, Megan Boye will
be by this afternoon to teach the children how to make fun, unique
puppets.
WEEK 3: BUILD IT!
SO WHAT ARE WE DOING THIS WEEK?
Everything we do this week will
jump off the page. Drawing influ-
ence from the architecture all
around us, our sculpture work
will reach new heights in clay,
paper, and even concrete!
TEACHER SPOTLIGHT:
KRISTINA JUSINO
Ms. Jusino is the art
teacher at Forest City
Elementary. She has a BA
in Arts Education from the
Pratt Institute in Brooklyn,
NY and a MA in Teaching
from Nova Southeastern
University. This is Ms.
Jusino’s third year teaching at our camp and we are so
happy to have her back!

OUR WEEK CONTINUED...
Thursday
Carpentry Crew. Did you know the Art & History Museums—Maitland
has its very own Carpenter? Hampton Paulk works in our Carpentry
Shop Museum and we’ll be visiting him today to build some napkin holders. Closed Toe Shoes are a MUST today!!!
Friday
Curatorial visit, art show, and movie day! Our weeks always end in our
Art Show. Be sure each camper saves their favorite art piece from the
week to be proudly displayed in our showcase. A staff member from
curatorial will stop by to discuss the process of
displaying art in a museum and help our show really stand out!
We’ll end the day by watching The Lego Movie!
Don’t forget a box or bag to transport all of your child’s beautiful creations!
