The King of Love My Shepherd Is
The King of love my Shepherd is,Whose goodness faileth never;I nothing lack if I am HisAnd He is mine forever.
Where streams of living water flow,My ransomed soul He leadeth,And where the verdant pastures grow,With good celestial feedeth.
Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,But yet in love He sought meAnd on His shoulder gently laid,And home, rejoicing brought me.
The King of love my Shepherd is,My Shepherd is the King of love; And so through all the length of daysThy goodness faileth never;Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praiseWithin Thy house, within Thy house,Within Thy house forever.
Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praiseWithin Thy house forever.
Lyrics by Henry W. Baker (1868); music from an ancient Irish melody

FOUND: GOD’S PEACEEXPERIENCE TRUE FREEDOM FROM ANXIETY IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCEby John MacArthur
“[Peace] is not built on any human relationship. It is not built on any human circumstance. Rather it is built on an unchanging divine relationship and a divine plan and promise from an unfailing God who will secure you in himself and who will do everything for your good. This peace is unbreakable, unassailable, transcendent.” —John MacArthur

In Luke 14:16–24, Jesus describes how the host of a great supper invited many guests to come, but they all made excuses about why they couldn’t attend. In response, the master of the feast tells his servant to “Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.” While the parable serves as a powerful warning for those who would reject the offer of salvation, it also provides a picture of how we, as servants of Christ, are to reach out to the desperate with the saving message of the gospel. And that is what GRACE Club is all about.
Since 1979, Grace Recreational Activity Center for the Exceptional (GRACE Club,
for short) has combined games, exercise, and crafts with Bible teaching and a clear gospel presentation designed to reach out to the mentally handicapped folks in our community. The program, which meets on Tuesday evenings, was inaugurated more than 35 years ago with just two disabled people. Today that number has grown to anywhere from 80–100 weekly participants who come to have fun and hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
GRACE Club also gives us a wonderful opportunity to proclaim the gospel to the families and caregivers of these special people. Many caregivers come and stay for the whole evening, and although they don’t recognize it, their need is just as desperate as the folks
they care for. GRACE Club also serves as their “invitation to the feast.”
There are many joys in serving in Special Ministries, and GRACE Club is just one of many places to serve. There are tremendous opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life for Christ, and we always need volunteers. Take a moment to review the list at right and prayerfully consider joining us. You may be surprised by the blessing you find.
