JOANNEUM QUARTER
Cooperation is at the heart of the Austrian ScienceCenter-Network. More than 160 partners from research, education, design, museums or the media actively contribute to our community by developing, offering and using interactive science centre activities. Like the Ecsite community, we enjoy learning from each other. Together, we have prepared an exciting programme for tonight! Join us…
• Discover 30 Hands-on zones from partners of the Austrian-wide network spread on 4 fl oors and pay the Natural History Museum's exhibitions a visit.
• Short guided tours invite you to explore the inter-face of science and art with an exhibition by the famous Austrian media artist Richard Kriesche (get your free ticket at the information point in the foyer).
• Explore the ScienceCenter-Network’s interdiscipli-nary travelling exhibition “Interdependencies” and enjoy informal chats with scientists and exhibit developers (21:00 – 22:00, 1st fl oor).
• Have you received a jigsaw piece? Contribute to the Cooperation Puzzle (2nd fl oor).
What else: Dance away with DJ Prinz Albert. Enjoy food & drinks prepared by small local initiatives. And yes, for those of you who are soccer enthusiasts, we will make sure you won’t miss the opening game of the European champi-onship (public viewing, ground fl oor/outdoor).
Good to know: The history of the museum building at Joanneum Quarter dates back to the 15th century. Completely re-designed in 2013, the museum complex today houses the Natural History Museum and Neue Galerie Graz and is a part of the Styrian-wide Universalmuseum Joanneum.
