PEPY programsWe run eight educational programs across nine schools in Chanleas Dai commune and two community development programs with youth in the Kralanh district.

Education

Creative Learning Classes serve over 200 students per week and use a unique science and social studies curriculum with a focus on critical thinking and creative problem solving skills. Students have the chance to use computers to create educational games, build robots, and conduct experiments in their communities.

Creative Learning Clubs enable pupils at the Chanleas Dai Junior High School to use their free periods to take part in clubs designed around their passions: book writing, newspaper clubs, engineering clubs...

Dream Classes provide a forum for young people to identify and discuss their ambitions for

the future in group workshops and in one-to-one mentoring sessions.

Sahakoom Apeewaht Sala (“Communities Developing Schools”) engages School Support Committees to address the education needs of their own villages. PEPY has worked with three schools to develop their committee, providing trainings and resources to enable them to design and implement School Development Plans in line with government education policy.

Travelling Teacher Support works with teachers to help them understand English, to craft lesson plans, and find creative ways to promote English learning to Grade 5 and 6 students in the Chanleas Dai commune.

Scholarships are offered to two students graduating from Kralanh District High School, giving them financial support on the understanding they will give back to their community on the completion of their study through financial support, volunteering, or community projects. Exam Preparation is offered during the spring semester, giving Grade 9 students the skills and confidence to sit their exams in order to progress on to high school.

English Classes introduce ideas of global citizenship, as well as improving proficiency in the English language, using student-led, participatory learning techniques as a way of keeping lessons engaging.

Community Development

Young Leaders Clubs provide a forum for older teenagers to learn about and discuss more adult

issues, from finance to reproductive health.

Child Clubs encourage children to identify issues they encounter on a regular basis, such as dengue

fever or pollution, and plan a course of action to work for change in their neighbourhood.

Thank you! We’d like to say a huge thank you for your donation. With your help, PEPY can continue to support the youth of Cambodia. By working with young people and investing time and resources, we can connect them with the skills, systems, and inspiration necessary to achieve their goals, raise standards of living, and improve the quality of education in their communities.

Now you’re officially part of the PEPY network! We invite you to browse through the rest of this welcome information and see what you can do next: PEPY programs / What does your money mean? / Connect with us!

Don’t want to donate to keep the lights on? Well, that does make things tricky, because electricity in

Cambodia is one of the most expensive commodities per unit. It costs us $15 every day to run electricity for our office to enable us to turn on lights, power fans (we don’t use air conditioning), and run computers and printers. Help the PEPY office to POWER ON with their work!

PEPY ToursAs a PEPY donor, if you are ever traveling through Cambodia, you will always be welcome at our office to meet our team and learn first-hand more about where your money goes.

You may also be interested in joining a trip with our sister company, PEPY Tours, a social enterprise which provides inspiring Cambodian adventures to help financially support our programs.

The team at PEPY Tours is passionate about experiential travel, and see a trip to Cambodia as an opportunity to learn, develop, and explore new ideas as well as new places. They specialize in creating responsible travel experiences that integrate sightseeing and cultural immersion with learning opportunities and plenty of fun!

To support our education and community development programs, PEPY Tours operates an innovative two-part payment structure: a trip fee, and a fundraising minimum that goes directly to us at PEPY. To date PEPY Tours has raised over $500,000. On a PEPY Tours adventure, travelers then have the chance to engage with and learn about the people, communities, and cultures their donated money is being used to support.

Experiencing Cambodia with PEPY Tours could mean a 5 day exploration of the Siem Reap area – the province in which PEPY operates – or an extended cross-Cambodia journey of discovery. PEPY Tours also runs the PEPY Ride, a 1,000km Cambodian cycling challenge and PEPY’s biggest yearly fundraising event.

If you have never been to Cambodia, a trip with PEPY Tours is the perfect way to explore a new culture, further support PEPY programmes, and gain a deeper understanding of the impact of your donation. The PEPY Tours two-part payment system also means that an adventure with them is the most exciting way to be a PEPY donor!
