WELCOME FROM OUR PASTOR Jason J. Nelson, Pastor Good morning and welcome to worship! Today, we wrap up our current sermon series called, Collective Identity: Who God Is Calling Us to Be. This world needs Jesus (now that’s for the understatement of the day). It’s true. There’s only One person who can bring meaning and purpose to life, only one person who can overcome hate and malice, only one person who can give hope to the despondent and peace to the afflicted, and only one person who has, and can, conquer sin, death and despair. His name is Jesus and people… need… Him! I know I do. I need Him every hour of every day; and I know I’m not alone. I also know it’s up to me, and you, to tell others about Him so that they too can know what a friend we have in Jesus! People need to hear about who Jesus is and what Jesus offers. So, this morning let’s remind ourselves that it’s up to us to get up and go! It’s up to us to tell the world about Jesus and His love. Serve the Lord with Gladness… -Psalm 100:2 GIVE FINANCIAL UPDATE (2019) 2019 was another great year in the life and ministry of Rose Hill UMC! This was espe- cially true regarding our finances. By God’s grace and your generosity, we finished the year strong. 2019 Operating Budgeted Goal $349,462 Tithes and Offerings $350,478 Other Revenue $ 8,582 Total Operating Funds Received $359,060 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. - Corinthians 9:7 MINISTRY MATTERS Over the next few weeks, we will have an opportunity to tangibly support the mission and ministry of the church by turning in our All In pledge cards for 2020. These pledges are invaluable to church leadership because they serve as a resource for faithful stewardship on a monthly basis. Furthermore, they represent our collective desire to dream big in the months and years to come. May God continue to bless this church, leverage our gifts for the sake of the Kingdom, and empower us “to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).” PRELUDE Trust Medley, E.
