The ray travels along straight lines.X- ray is a kind of E- magnetic radiation. Its

wavelengthto meter. Unit of X-ray is roentgen.

If an X-ray impinges on a metal, electrons are emitted by it.

These rays produce fluorescence on material like Zinc Sulfide, Barium Platinocyanid etc.
