Test RetakesTest RetakesStudents may retake any test within one week after

receiving his or her graded original test as long as: (1)All assignments for that unit have been completed and, (2)the student has attended teacher remediation. Students

with a class average of 76% or below will remediate in Husky Help. Students with a class average above 76% will attend remediation either before or after school

(3)Retakes will a test different from the original test (4)If a student is absent on the retest day, the absence

must be excused and the student must take the test the day he/she returns.

QuizzesQuizzesStudents may retake quizzes within one week of the return

Honors Option AssignmentsHonors Option Assignments• Activity 1 – Housing Style Research Project: Research Paper and a Product • Activity 2 —Student Choice Projects (Select One)

– Business Exploration Project – research, interview, and compare 2 local design business

– Cultural Exploration Project – research a particular country or culture’s interior design and create a research paper and room design

– Student Choice Project – student chooses topic, develops type of project, develops steps to follow and designs a rubric to evaluate project, with teacher approval of all parts of project

• Activity 3 —Honors E-Portfolio: Student choice of high quality entries in an electronic format.

Husky Honor Code• Definition of Cheating: the act of gaining an unfair advantage, or

misrepresenting one’s knowledge. It includes, but is not limited to wrongfully using or taking the ideas or work of another

• Giving or receiving unauthorized aid from another person on assignments, papers, quizzes, tests, or examinations (sharing information, even copying answers to work-sheets is considered cheating and therefore unacceptable)

• Plagiarizing• Getting advance information about quizzes, tests, or examinations• Using or consulting unauthorized materials or using unauthorized devices

on papers, quizzes, tests or examinations• Using any portion of a paper or project to fulfill the requirements of more

than one course, unless the student has received prior permission to do so• Intentionally misrepresenting the need for extra time on any assignments,

papers, quizzes, tests or examinations, in order to gain more information• Choosing to be absent on the due date of a paper, project, quiz or test• Lying about any of the above.

• 1 ½ inch 3-ring binder and paper• 1 Fine and 1 Extra Fine Black Sharpie • Mechanical pencils• Color pencils/markers – the more colors the

better!• White foam core board (Wal-Mart sells a 2 pack

20” X 30” or you may choose to purchase a larger size.)

• Paint sample (will need to be purchased at a later date once project has begun)
