Develop a professional development activity for all staff (including support staff) that helps to clarify the concept of weight bearing walls and incorporate it in an in-service day activity.

Current Setting/Background:  Attached below are my tentative goals and expectations for the

professional and support staff for the 2010-2011 school year that will be part of the in-service activities in the new school year. The goals and expectations represent a continuation of goals and expectations as to improve academics and accountability in the district since the district was without leadership for a long period of time.

Please understand that teachers will be out of the classroom for embedded training (more than one training session in one subject or topic) to be retooled. Consultants from CIU, TIU, and others as needed will lead curriculum writing and expert consults in education fields (Math and Reading) will be working with all staff members in the classrooms and in and out of the school.
