– You are free to choose any courses offered by faculty, but…
– …book courses corresponding to your level of studies
– You can book at most two courses at the ETH and no more than one third of your overall ECTS points
– Some seminars might be limited; -> a second application at the chair is normally necessary-> check online course catalogue and website of professor

– Booking: Official registration for examinations – Deadlines: Booking and cancellation
starting on 14 January 2020 at 10:00 ending on 13 March 2020 at 00:00 (midnight)
Every booked module will appear on your Transcript of Records even if you do not attend or write the exam (-> “failed attempt”)

Module Booking (5) – How to avoid pitfalls
− Do read the course description and make sure you comply with the requirements
− Book only courses on the appropriate level of studies
− Do not book more than 20-30 ECTS credits per semester
− Remember to cancel modules you do not want to attend
− Ask your Buddy all the nasty questions

Drop Petition with Doctor’s Attestation
– If you cannot take an examination due to an illness or accident, you must request to withdraw from the related module in the Student Portal (“My Requests” tile).
– The request must be submitted no later than five business days after the examination date.
– All modules whose examinations take place during the duration of the inability to work will be canceled.

Transcripts of Records
− All students at UZH get their transcripts of records electronically (in English and/or German). It lists all passed and failed modules.
− It will be available for download as a PDF in the student portal from September 18. − You can access the student portal up to four months after end of the semester. If you need a
transcript of records after this time, please use the contact form provided by the Student Services Office.
– You can also order a printed version of the transcript upon request (on white paper, stamped and signed). -> Please make sure to check the address in the student portal and change it if necessary.http://www.students.uzh.ch/en/record/transcript.html
