Pollution is a word that we are all aware of these days. What does it mean exactly? If you look up the pollution in the dictionary you will find something like - "to destroy; to contaminate, especially with man-made waste". Yes the environment, the place we live, is being made unclean by our own activities.

Types of pollution

Land pollutionA healthy soil is essential for life. Plants provide food for animals and human beings, and for growth and health plants need good conditions. A good soil should have plenty of humus - (decaying animal and plant remains), water, mineral salts, air and a population of living organisms, including bacteria, insects and worms.

Water pollution

Every living thing depends on water for life. Over two thirds of the planet Earth is covered by sea water and there are also numerous freshwater habitats. But humans continue to pollute it at an alarming rate. People throw away the trash and the rubbish in the river. Ships spill oil in the sea.

Air pollution

Air that people are suffering and without it animals and plants cannot live is polluted. Factories release fumes, people throw rubbish everywhere which pollute the air.

-the earth is depressed because the land is filled with moutains garbage.-the air is polluted by fumes of cars, factories and smog.-the water is dirty because of garbage, chemicals and petroleum.

How can we save the world?

Peoples should be aware of the hazards of pollution and his negative impact of it. They must do something to save the earth; They must organize anti pollution campaigns, dump her rubbish in the landfills, stop destroying and logging forest trees, stop wasting water…
