Now, please watch and listen to the following

introduction for what was going to be the

gathering hymn for church this Sabbath:

Page 5: Welcome!

Please consider the following

question, and consider it with

as much honesty as possible

Page 6: Welcome!

Which version of Be Thou My Vision was a

more meaningful worship experience for

You, personally?

Please raise your hand if you felt closer to God, while listening to the version performed by The Irish Tenors than the Trust video and Bible reading (I’ll raise my

hand for sure, I used to sell tickets for the 12 Irish Tenors in Branson all the time – They ROCK!)

Page 10: Welcome!

Or do they distract you?

Are the music and graphics making you angry at the young man reading the words on the screen, or do you feel more energized and excited about what is

being said and how it could draw a new crowd of people to our church?

Page 11: Welcome!

Do I have your attention right now because of the media?

Or is it because this isn’t a normal presentation for a board meeting?

Page 12: Welcome!

Media enhances presentationsEspecially for my generation

What was “wrong” with the

previous presentation?

wrong: as defined by the majority of modern Seventh-day Adventists I’ve met in my visits to a host of churches, from Collegedale to Loma Linda, Missouri to NE Tennessee, Maryland to Florida, and Hawaii to Nassau, Bahamas.

Is it okay to have new people at our

church dressed in jeans, who just

finished smoking in their cars? What if

they weren’t smoking tobacco? Can they

still come into church?

“There are the multitudes of young people who

have been wholly deprived of the guidance of

parents and the subduing influence of a Christian

home. Let Christians open their hearts…The work

that God has committed to these individuals should not be left to

the chances of the world's charity!
