本单元和前面几个单元相比,看似各自独立,但又是紧密联系生活中实用情景英语。围绕“ Giving gifts”

开展听、说、读、写等一系列的教学活动,主要让学生掌握在生活中如何向他人提出建议。  本单元另一个语言项目是“ Compare qualities” 。由 Section A 的“ Compare qualities” 到 Section B 对不同宠物的观点以及拓展阅读“ Why don’t you learn to si

ng English songs?” ,均围绕着 should 和 how about 等表示提建议的句式。因此在教学过程中要充分发挥学生的积极主动性和参与性,以对话促提高,在实际运用和谈论中熟悉并掌握本单元交际用语。

Teaching Aims

1、语言技能目标(1)能用各种表达建议的方式来为别人献计献策,为不同的人选择不同的礼物,如 :Why don’t you get her a camera? How about some tennis balls? (2)熟练运用形容词来表达自己的喜好,并说明原因。如: That’s too boring.2、语言知识目标(1)一些形容词,如 expensive,cheap,interesting...(2)运用 Why don’t you…? How/What about…? 等句型来表示提供别人建议。 3 、情感态度目标(1)掌握建议别人买礼物以及比较物品性质的方式,形成正确的价值观。(2)通过谈论如何为亲人和朋友准备合适的礼物,增进学生的亲情和友情。

经过将近两年的初中英语学习,学生已经建立了相对较稳固的基础。 他们已经在第二单元学习了提议“ why don’t y

ou…”, 所以本单元是对前面内容的复习与补充。其次,礼物是学生比较感兴趣的话题,因此,本节课的话题就不会空洞,毫无吸引力,学生们可以结合实际情况将英语真正运用到生活中。

教学方法着重体现在听、说、练这三者的结合。首先要会听,听单词,听句型听语言点;听懂之后要会说,用学到的知识说出正确的句型;会说以后要勤练,互相组成对话及情景表演进行练习巩固,三者环环相扣,缺一不可。

本课所用教学法:问题导入法,举例法,分组对话,看图造句,小组讨论法。
