Random Weight Items
• Inventory on random weight items is tracked on the exact weight of the product, not average case weight.
• Therefore we need to know exact weight of each item/pallet received into facility.
• Each case must have a label that includes exact weight.
New Requirements (Only for Random Weight Items)
• The total weight for an item/pallet must be known.
• Minimum Visibility of Pallet Weight: Pallet label with item description and the total weight for the pallet fixed to the top right corner of the pallet
• If you have the capability of supplying UCC128 pallet label and corresponding ASN, Wegmans would be interested in taking advantage of this B2B process.
Required Information – WFM Pallet Tag
Note: Fewer lines and larger fonts welcomed!
Random Weight Meat Depot Case Label Specifications
• All random weight items coming in from vendors must have a label on each case with the following information and we have listed these in the order of importance:
Mandatory
• “G” UCC128 Barcode including a 320 (Net Weight - lbs.) or 310 (Net Weight - kg) Application Identifier (AI).
• “H” Man-readable barcode number
Optional information, but we would prefer as many of these as possible
• “C” Net weight in pounds
• “D” Sell By Date
• “A” Wegmans Commodity Code (or Item Number)
• “B” Wegmans Item Description
• “E” Pieces per case
• “F” Distributed by Name & Address
• Label must be a minimum of four (4) inches wide by three (3) inches high.
Random Weight Conversion
• Please start using this process now.
• We know this will take some time to put in place.
• Wish to work out the bugs at the current buildings so conversion is seamless.
• As other buildings are converted this work will already be done.
