Return to me with all your heart, says the Lord. For God is gracious and merciful; God is slow to anger; God is abounding in steadfast love for us. Let us pray… PRAYER OF CONFESSION God of mercy, you sent Jesus Christ to seek and save the lost. We confess that we have strayed from you and Turned aside from your way. We are misled by pride, For we see ourselves pure when we are stained, And great when we are small. We have failed in love, neglected justice, and ignored your truth. We are currently seeking volunteers to join one of our usher teams. Generally, being on an usher team involves serving as an usher for one service on one Sunday per month. You may choose your preferred Sunday (i.e., first, second, third or fourth Sunday of the month), and you may also volunteer for a specific service (8:45 a.m. Chapel, 9 a.m. Contemporary, or 11 a.m. Traditional). The primary duties of an usher are to arrive early to help with bulletins and seating, and then to collect the offer- ing. This is a great way to get involved in and to serve our church. If you’re interested, please con- tact the usher coordinator, Hal Kitchin, at [email protected] or (910) 431-6638. Health and Wellness In response to the recent heart health lecture given by members Ashley Garner and Lance Lewis, the FPC Health and Wellness Committee would like to start a support group for members interested in pursuing a whole foods and plant based diet and lifestyle. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email [email protected]. Wheelchair Lift Did you know that a wheelchair lift has been installed and is available for use? It can be accessed from the far end of the Gathering Place or from the wheelchair accessible side door off of Orange Street. Should you need assistance in operating the lift, please see an Usher or speak with Facilities Manager, Glenn Graves.
