Please note that her one-year-older sister vessel “Azul Integra” 203/2004 Universal, Japan was sold last month at the exact same levels. Capesize “Bulk Harvest” 176/2012 Jinhai, China (DD 05/2020) of HNA Group was sold to undisclosed buyers for USD 19 mill. Remind you that back in September, her two-years-younger sister vessel “Bulk Success” 176/2014 Jinhai, China was sold for USD 24,3 mill. Biko Kisen have sold their Panamax “Coral Emerald” 76/2007 Sanoyas Hishino, Japan (SS/DD 01/2021) to Greek buyers for a price of USD 11 mill. Last similar sale was in October when the two-years-older “Real Happiness” 77/2005 Imabari, Japan was sold at USD 10,2 mill. Luhai’s Supramax “Baoxiang” 57/2013 Xiamen, China (DD 05/2021) was sold to Chinese buyers EGPN for USD 11,5 mill while in October, the two-years-older “Anogyra” 57/2011 Jiangdong, China was sold at USD 10,2 mill. In addition, “Yasa Ozcan” 56/2006 Mitsui, Japan (SS/DD 01/2021) of Ya Sa Shipping was sold to Indonesian buyers Guritas Lintas for USD 10,6 mill whilst the one-year- younger “Stove Phoenix” 56/2007 Kawasaki, Japan was sold at USD 11,2 mill. Handysize “Brazen” 28/2014 Imabari, Japan (SS/DD passed 08/2019) of Blue Wall Shipping was sold to German buyers for USD 9,5 mill. Note that a couple of weeks ago, the two-years-older “Prinsesa Maganda” 28/2012 I-S, Japan was sold at USD 8,6 mill. Tankers China VLCC are selling two of their VLCC’s, “New Medal” 297/2009 Shanghai Jiangnan, China (DD 11/2021) & “New Globe” 296/2009 Bohai, China (DD 01/2022) to Turkish buyers Advantage Tankers at a price of USD 42 mill each. Suezmax “Ashkini Spirit” 165/2003 Hyundai Samho, Korea (DD 12/2020) of Teekay Corp was sold to Greek buyers for USD 19,4 mill. Remind you that last month, the two-years-younger “Cape Bari” & “Cape Bastia” 159/2005 HHI, Korea were sold at levels USD 23 mill each. HSM Products have sold their MR “New Legend” 47/2000 Onomichi, Japan (SS/DD 11/2020) to Taiwanese buyers Winson Shipping for USD 8 mill. Week 49 found iron ore freight rates on the West Australia / China route at
the level of mid usd 10,00’s fio. No period activity to report here.
Kamsarmax / Panamax
A number of Indonesian and Australian coal trips into China were reported
at around usd 11,000/12,000 pd levels. A number of Indonesian and
Australian coal trips into India were reported at the levels of usd
10,000/11,000 pd. West African trips into India via US Gulf and Suez were
reported at the level of usd 17,000 pd. Mediterranean trips into China via
Black Sea were fixed around usd 22,000 pd. Continental trips via US East
Coast into Mediterranean were reported at the level of usd 14,000 pd. South
American trips into Continent with grains were fixed around usd 16,500 pd.
South American trips into China were reported at around usd 13,000/14,000
pd plus ballast bonus at the usd 300K/400K. Usd 11,500 pd on a Kamsarmax
for 13/15 months employment basis delivery in the Pacific.
Ultramax / Supramax
North Pacific rounds ranged at the usd 10,000 pd. A number of Indonesian
trips into China at the level of usd 9,000 pd without any ballast bonus. A
number of Indonesian trips into Persian Gulf were reported at the level of
usd 9,000 pd. Red Sea trips into Indian were fixed at around usd 14,500 pd.
Mediterranean trips into US East Coast were reported at the level of usd
8,500 pd. No period activity to report here.
Handymax / Handysize
A generally quiet week for this segment. Persian Gulf trips into China were
reported at the level of usd 10,000 pd. South American trips into West Africa
with grains were fixed at around usd 12,000 pd plus ballast bonus at the usd
30K. South American trips into Mediterranean with sugar were reported at
the level of usd 11,000 pd. No period activity to report here.
