In the week ending 1st December 2017, AcuComm added or updated 47 projects

to our database. These have a combined estimated value of US$8,553 million.

There were 20 completely new projects this week, and 27 updates.

This brings the total number of active projects in the AcuComm database to 4,995.

They have an estimated value of US$351.1 million, or US$70 million on average.

Hong Kong was the leading country in the past week in terms of project value,

accounting for US$4,012 million. This was equal to 46.9% of the total for the week.

The leading feedstock this week was MSW, which accounted for eight projects and an estimated US$4,793

million. This is equal to 56.0% of the total value this week.

In terms of estimated capacity, the leading feedstock was also MSW, which amounted to an annualised

3,012,954 tonnes or 28.2% of the total. Wood was the leading feedstock for power generation this week,

amounting to an estimated 430 MW or 46.9% of the total.

The leading facility type in the past week was integrated/mixed facilities. This accounted for two

projects, with a total estimated value of US$4,097 million. This was equal to 47.9% of the total.

In terms of estimated capacity, the leading facility type was incineration (with energy recovery),

which amounted to an annualised 4,646,343 tonnes or 43.6% of the total. Incineration (with

energy recovery) was the leading facility type in terms of anticipated power output. This

amounted to 627 MW, equal to 68.5% of the total.
