Students have for the most part done a terrific job settling back into normal routines this term and are to be commended for their behaviour both inside and outside the classrooms. Hopefully next term even more things can return to normal as there are big plans for Term 3! School Uniform Thanks to all those parents who continue to support the school and send their children to school in full school uniform. The majority of students are attending school rugged up against the cold and looking great in their green, gold and grey uniforms. BroSpeak Mural The boys have nearly completed their mural on the side of 1/2L’s classroom and it is looking very colourful indeed. The boys just need to put the finishing touches on it and then have a celebration luncheon at the end of term. Mr Jackson and Mr McAuliffe have done a tremendous job this term guiding the boys through their major project. Girl’s Group Mrs Robertson and Miss Cooper have enjoyed the opportunity to Dubbo North Public School “Skill with Honour by being Responsible, Safe & Respectful lifelong learners” Weekly Newsletter Week 10 Term 2 2020 [email protected] Tel: 6882 4689 Fax: 6884 3442 Week 10 Term 2 “Skill with Honour” work with the Year 6 girls this term as they have cooked, made a tie blanket, gone on a mini excursion and learn what it takes to make ethically correct decisions. The girls have benefitted from being part of the group and have enjoyed the opportunities that it has presented. Staff Leaving Unfortunately we have some staff who will be leaving us at the end of this term – Mrs Memorey is moving away from Dubbo and thus will not be returning to Dubbo North Public School. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank her for her hard work and dedication towards the students at DNPS who I’m sure have benefitted from her involvement. Miss Grace Connell will be leaving us to complete her 10 week internship at Orana Heights but will hopefully be re-joining us in Term 4. Even though it’s been a shorter term it has certainly been one that I’m sure we will all remember. A huge thank you to the staff who have definitely gone above and beyond this term with regards to the student’s education and wellbeing; a great team effort all around. Also, a huge thank you to the students and school community who have followed school expectations and supported me in the running of the school. Have a safe and rewarding break.
