EDITORIAL Rotary Club San Andres and our President Mario J. Morales Portilla, made a great

agreement with our virtual bulletin with the distinctive name of “Rotarian Window”, as a

way to communicate with all of our associates and with the other clubs in Peru and also

around the world, through cyber space, thanks to the magic of communicating through

the internet.

With that being said, upon launching our first number of this bulletin would be

September 14, 2012, coinciding with the date that our government Juan Simon Aponte

has programmed to make an official visit to the club, as an honor to him for the support

to the public relations that Rotary International and for pushing it to a worldwide level.

Our bulletin will be dedicated to fund all the activities that will develop our club, like the

oriented community service and our institutional consolidation, district 4460, R.I. and

collaborating with world peace, the eradication of Polio, illiteracy, and all the diverse

sickness and the community’s shortcomings.

From these virtual pages our Rotarian and fraternal greetings to our governor Juan and

his beloved wife, during his supervision and in particular in his official visit to our club, at

the historical city of Trujillo, capital of the spring, the marinera and the culture from the

big north part of Peru. Wishing you a happy stay.

Also our greetings to all the Rotarians at our club and from Peru, to all the past

governors from District 4460, whose main counselor presides Luis Niño Olaya and for

the CONGORPE presided by Ignacio Martinez. May god shed light upon you always so

we can be able to overcome each day like people and at the most needed community

service.

Our president Mario made use of the word to inform about the Cascas Integral Campaign, programmed for this September 8. It suggested that the coordination was already done with the authorities of the facility where this labor will be executed and it called upon the participation of the Rotarians and their family members. There was an hour established to leave which was at 6 a.m., and the arriving point was the house of our president Mario Morales.

Our C.R. Franklin Farfan, made use of his word to inform about the previous meetings for the reactivation of Rotaract, mentioning that there was not a lot of interest from our Rotarian peers to stimulate their kids to gather at these reunions being that this unit represents the base of our club.

The C.R. Victor Saldaña, mentioned the importance of the participation from the Rotarian kids in the statements like Interact and Rotaract, pointed out it is not just the Rotarian associate that makes Rotary but the whole family, and indicated how important it is to make our relatives participate at the activities that are carried out.

Therefore our president Mario informed about the arrival of our Governor and the tentative program to be done. It was determined that this topic would be covered at a free forum.

Continuing with the actions and assignments going, the theme of the night began, which was developed by

our C.R. Franklin Farfan with the theme “The truth about Chocolate”.

Franklin Farfan’s presentation concerning “The truth about Chocolate”

In which it was discussed how dangerous consuming chocolate could be to our health. All of our peer’s questions were answered.

At the free forum our President Mario commenced, highlighting the importance of the preventive campaign that was to start off this past September 8. The C.R. Victor Saldaña called upon the participation of all this relatives. Likewise C.R. Walter Santa Maria pointed out that Rotary not only is it a club of associates but it is solidarity as a family and identification. Our C.R. EGD. Francisco Espinoza Orrego, asked for each and every one of the Rotarians to unite and participate, establishing permanently the links of communication that will let us participate in all the events that are important in the life of the families, socially and professionally of all their participants, maintaining tolerance and respect.

Our C.R. Elsa Olivera de Montenegro, suggested an annex for the summary of the past session together with the session that will arrive by email, as a way to help memorize.

At the moment of good-fellowship, we remembered all the birthdays of the month for our C.R.s, Rotarian woman and sons of Rotarians.

Likewise we conducted to our weekly raffle, whose results were the following:

Contributes: S/.45.00 (15 participants)

Winner: C.R. Luis Ramos Susuki

Without further additional point to add, our president Mario concluded the session, not before thanking the Rotarian peers that carried out the greetings to the emblems, the community prayer, and all the other Rotarians present, Rotarian woman, and guests.
