Community CleanupGRANVILLE – Volunteers are

needed to take part in a com-

munity cleanup of both the vil-

lage and town of Granville,

beginning at 9 a.m. on

Saturday, April 21, starting at

Veterans Park. Dress for work,

wear gloves and bring outdoor

work tools. Orange garbage

bags will be available in

advance at the town garage. A

cookout will follow at noon at

the Little League complex.

Senior citizens who need help

in their yards should call the

town at 642-1500.

Hartford CleanupHARTFORD Volunteers are

needed to take part in a com-

munity cleanup in the town of

Hartford beginning at 9 a.m. on

Saturday, April 21. Volunteers

are asked to meet at Hartford

Town Barn. Volunteers are

encouraged to wear gloves and

work will continue until noon

at which point a complimenta-

ry lunch will be served. For

needed for a two to three-hour

cleanup of the Mettowee Valley

Cemetery in Granville at 9 a.m.

on Saturday, April 21. Wear

sturdy shoes and long pants,

and bring gloves and a rake if

you have one.

Turkey CallingPAWLET The Seventh Annual

Bart Jacobs Memorial Turkey

Calling Contest will be held at

10 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, at

the Pawlet Firehouse on Route

133. Children ages 18 and

younger will showcase their

calling skills and prizes will be

awarded. Cost: $10 in advance

the door. Proceeds from the

contest, refreshments, a teacup

auction and shotgun raffle will

benefit the Oxbow Mountain
