FEEDBACK OF CHILDREN ON RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FESTIVALFEEDBACK OF CHILDREN ON RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FESTIVAL EXCELLENT
- Sheryl Thekkeparambil
This year’s Reli-gious Education fes-tival was excellent because there were
more kids, so it seemed livelier. Jesus was more present in the au-dience because a lot of people were gathered together in his name. A subject we learned through the ballet, dances, and skits was about our Knanaya history. Through them I came to understand the feelings of our ancestors. They had to leave their families knowing they would never see them again. I also discovered the meaning of St. Thomas coming to India, and why our ancestors moved there. The dances were fabulous and Asha chechi should get huge
thanks for working so hard with all these kids and making so many dances. Thank you Fr. Mutholath for arranging the Religious Educa-tion program for us kids, and thank you for everyone that helped out!
TERRIFIC - Shawn
Thekkeparambil The CCD festival was terrific. The OLV students had many great dances.
I have never seen a ballet before and Addison did a fantastic job do-ing the ballet. These dances and ballets have meanings to them such as mine the Apostle Dance. It talks about St. Thomas and him saying let’s die with Jesus.
There was food and gifts for agape. You pay for the food or gift and your money goes to the
poor. At the end we sang “Our God is an Awesome God.”
OUTSTANDING

Our Religious E d u c a t i o n Festival was an outstanding pro-gram. It was a great experience for us. During the practice, we never thought that the program would be so spectacular. Each and every item gave us a memorable mes-sage. We are proud to be a part of this event. We are so grateful to Fr. Mutholath and all the people who helped.

A Note of Thanks……………… Although the Re-ligious Education Festi-val 2006 is over, the joy and the excitement of it is still lingering in our heart. The theme of the show was to pro-
vide awareness to our people especially to our young generation that the Knanaya community is not only a group of people who practice endogamy and value
For the past two months the CCD students, teachers and their parents were working hard towards a common goal and Saturday March 4, 2006 that goal was accomplished. Our annual
CCD festival was a success. From the opening cere-mony to the final curtain call, the entire festival was beautifully organized. It was an event that all the par-ticipants can be proud of and an event that the audi-ence really enjoyed.
I was proud to see how both Schools performed their portion of the festival to the absolute best of their abilities. The amount of hard work and effort that eve-ryone put forth in all the practices was present throughout the performances. The practices were also a time to bond as it improved and strengthened the friendships between the kids that participated. It also strengthened their sense of Knanaya heritage and Christian faith; which is the most important as-pect of this entire program. I would also like to thank Fr. Abraham Mutholath and all the coordinators who all worked hard on the production of the new Knanaya music album and the festival.
their centuries old traditions, but also they are true Christians with strong faith. Congratulations to the participants, their parents, teachers, the volunteers, and to all others who helped to make the program a memorable one. We greatly appreciate and congratulate Mrs. Mary Alumkal, Dr. Tessy Kanjirathumkal and Mrs. Tissy Njaravelil for articulating and coordinating the pro-gram. We also appreciate the family members of our students for their great support. Our sincere thanks to Fr. Abraham Mutholath for providing the theme for the show and guiding us. Finally, we would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped us in the Religious Education Festival 2006.
