Principal’s Message Returning to school: Thank you for your patience in this return to school phase. As you may have heard in the media, school is to return to full time on campus teaching and learning as of Monday 25th May. School students do not need to follow strict adult physical distancing guidelines, but should follow good hygiene practices like: - regularly washing hands, avoiding sharing drinks or food, coughing or sneezing into your elbow, or a tissue which should be discarded immediately, maintaining physical distancing from teachers and school staff. If your child is unwell, do not send them to school. If they are unwell at school, you or your nominated emergency contact will need to collect them immediately. Please ensure your child’s contact details are up to date. If a student is absent without a medical reason for more than three days, this will be recorded as an unauthorised absence and will be followed up by the school. School excursions and incursions will not occur along with inter-school activities. We ask that no additional visitors come into the school unless discussed and where possible meeting will be conducted online. Our school cleaning and hygiene supplies have been received and used in accordance with NSW Health advice. Reports: We have been informed that A-E scale reporting will not be implemented this Semester in NSW DoE schools. We will be following guidelines and developing a 2 page report about student learning in Semester 1. More information on the guidelines can be found at https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families Garden: We have completed the concreting and the next step is to work on the artworks and planting for the garden. Brentyn Lugnan and Nick Radford have been working hard on getting the best fit for Repton School and I am looking forward to watching this space bloom. Mrs Kristy Glyde, Principal Attendance: If your child is unwell, do not send them to school. If they are unwell at school, you or your nominated emergency contact will need to collect them immediately. Please ensure your child’s contact details are up to date. If a student is absent without a medical reason for more than three days, this will be recorded as an unauthorised absence and will be followed up by the school.
