Oil prices are down. Interest rates may be up. China’s economy has slowed. These factors have contributed to volatile fi nancial markets. As an investor, how should you respond? First, don’t panic. The markets are more resilient than you think. Look for opportunities. Now may be a good time to purchase quality stocks. Seek more diversifi cation. It’s a good idea to own a mixture of domestic and international stocks, bonds, government securities and other investments. Review your investment strategy. Unless your goals have changed, there’s no reason to revise your long-term investment plans. Investing will never be either risk-free or predictable, but by making the right moves you can help yourself stay on track.
