SCOPE OF THE STUDY

The scope of this study is to observe the degree of satisfaction level of customer facilities

provided by webtel. An attempt will also be made to find out the current position of

webtel in the market and also about the position of other players in the market.

Another purpose of this report is to find out the way people look at webtel software and

tries to find out their opinion about private sector companies. The scope of this topic is

wide enough, so it is difficult to cover the entire topic within stipulate time, but still

whatever can be done towards this effect has been done.

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

1) The study was limited in terms of geographical coverage as it was limited to the city of

Delhi, this makes the findings not fit for other areas.

2) The whole study was completed in a short period of 60 days. It was difficult to cover

large sample.

3) Some dealers gave biased response and did not give importance to the survey. This

may affect the accuracy of the findings.

4) Another limitation is that people don’t take interest in giving their time.

METHODOLOGY

Primary Data

- Questionnaire

- Personal observation.

The research problem given to us was investigated on the basis of primary data collection

and secondary data collection. I had intervened several people in Delhi. A structured

schedule (questionnaire) was prepared and the relevant information was gathered from

various CA’s and students on the basis of questions of different sorts. Several information

was also gathered from people and other information from website.

Sampling

Sampling is a method by which one can collect the various information about the

Population by just taking its sample. Here the sampling method undertaken was

i) Sample Size – 50

ii) Elements – CA’s and Students,

iii) Extent – Delhi,

iv) Research Instruction – Questionnaire.

2) Analyzing and Findings:-

Once all the data was collected using the various sources, the findings were analyzed to

figure out various strengths and weaknesses of the system in order to reach to the

conclusion and to recommend possible suggestions for improvement.

DATA ANALYSIS AND DATA INTERPRETATION

Project report and project interpretation are not complete unless and until the data

analysis and data interpretations are interpreted in the true form. In this study of mine, an

attempt has been made to investigate and explore the market changes in terms of its

products. This chapter definitely takes care of the specific interpretations and shall go a

long way in explaining the logic behind the research problem.

Analysis of Change In Customer Behavior

For analyzing the change in customer’s behavior in terms of software’s, I had visited

several dealers.

This can only be done by comparing the data collected from the market in year 2009 with

the data of year 2008.

Data interpretation

From the above given data we can make following interpretation.

In the year 2009, sales of E-TDS were 73.86% were as sales of E-TAX were 26.14% and in the

year 2008, sales of E-TDS decreased to 42%, were as sales of E-TAX increased up to 56%, With

this we can make the conclusion that, there is a certain change in customers’ behavior as they

are shifting from E-TDS to E-TAX.

From the above data we can make the following interpretation

1. The total sales of software have increased in year 2009 as compared to year 2008.

2. With this we can also conclude that the customers are increasing. There may be various

reasons for this change in customer’s behavior.

Data interpretation

1. From the above data we can find out the percent shift of E-TDS to E-TAX between years

2009 –2008.

2. There is only 20% increase in sales of E-TDS were as we can see an immense change

sales of E-TAX that is 121%.

3. From here we can also conclude that there is an immense change happening is

consumer’s behavior as the sales of E-TDS is decreasing and sales of E-TAX is increasing.

4. Also the companies has realized this and they are giving more stress in increasing the

sales of E-TAX as they have realized that this change is the demand of today’s market.

From above data we can interpretate that Webtel is leading in their E-TDS with 65 units

where as Computech is leading in E-TAX with 68 units.

From the above data, we can easily make the following interpretation.

1. Sales of E-TDS have increased from year 2009 to 2008. In year 2009 sales of E-TDS was

65 units were as in year 2008 it was 59 units.

2. We can also see there has been increase of E-TDS of 82% in year 2009.

3. From the above data we can also see that there has been decrease in sales of E-TAX. In

year 2009 the sales of E-TAX was 23 units were as in year 2008 the avg. monthly sales is

42 units.

4. There is a decrease of -9% in sales of E-TAX.

5. Sales of WEB-E-SECURE have also increase in year 2009. In year 2008 sale of WEB-E-

SECURE was 18 units were as in year 2009 avg. sales per month is 34 units.

6. We can see an increase of sales by 89% in year 2008.

7. Sales of WEB-D-VAT have also increased in year 2009. In year 2008 it had monthly sales

of 10 units were as in year 2009 its sales was 18 units.

8. Its sales increased by 44% in year 2009.

9. There has been certain increase in sales of WEB-WB-VAT. In year 2008 sales of WEB-

WB-VAT were 20 units. In year 2008 its sales increased to 22 units.

The software market is marked by heavy competition, with the major players in the

market being the national and the multinational companies. These companies have off

lately started aggressive marketing of their product and provide a variety of features to

their customers. Some of the major benefits for the customers for heavy sales

promotional strategy are:

Value added services: With the wide reach of the software industry, the

customer gets an easy access throughout the country with the help of the

dealership services.

Safety: A lot of safety facility is provided to the customer like insurance.

Easy Payment: various companies are providing several EMI schemes.

CONCLUSION

“As the time passes changes are bound to happen”.

Webtel should increase its reach through opening of more branches and employing more

talented and skilled advisors because lack of good and honest advisors is the basic loop

hole in the market, due to which people losing trust on them.

With the late entry in this sector, company will face tough competition; therefore it needs

to increase its promotion through various tools such as advertisement and publicity.

The company should give more practical training to the new agents so that they can

handle customers easily.

Lastly I would like to conclude by stating that this job training of ours remained quite

enriching in terms of market knowledge, customer’s behavior and competitive market

analysis. Hopefully this training of mine should serve as a stepping-stone in my career.

FINDINGS

There is a large opportunity for WEBTEL in the market

During the survey it was found that still there are 20-30% people who have not even

know the name of webtel.

We perceived as an expensive software selling product

The primary parameter for purchase is price and secondary Customer Support

Some of the people also download software from the NSDL site and some file their

return online.

There is lack of Sales Promotional Activities i.e. free demo CD’s, more exhibition of

software so that more people became aware of it .

Computech is main competitor and strategically follow some of the similar strategy

what webtel follows

SUGGESTIONS

While working in the Webtel Electrosoft Pvt. Ltd as a summer trainee, I have noticed that

there is something that acts as an obstacle in the path of success. In that context I would

like to give my suggestions which are as follows-:

The company need to work more upon quality control as during survey I found

that most of our clients are not fully satisfied.

The company needs to organize some sort of culture programmers, as it helps in

maintaining good environment inside the organization.

The company needs to work more upon maintaining the good coordination

between the management and the workforce, as I found less coordination between

the management and the workers.
