SIMILAR ARTISTS• To help me conduct the website and digipak research I first had to find

LAYOUT/FEATURESAll of the websites that I researched had very similar elements and features, some of which we are hoping to transfer and use for our artist’s website.

LANA DEL REY’S WEBSITEHomepage: Lana del Rey’s homepage sets the tone for her website. The music video for her latest single is the first thing you see and therefore grips your attention. The headings can clearly be seen in the top left corner, displaying all of the pages available thus making it easy for the visitor to find what they are looking for.

Social media links can be seen in the top right corner, offering visitors the chance to see the artist’s social media presence on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

News Page: the first page can be accessed either by clicking the tab in the top left corner or by simply scrolling down from the homepage. This page lists the headlines that the artist has been mentioned in, relating to her album release or concert dates.

These can be updated regularly thus keeping the visitors and fans informed as to what their favourite artist is up to do.

We will include a news page on our website so that our artist can regularly update her fans with news of her album release or her upcoming tour dates.

Live Dates Page: Lana del Rey’s website also features a ‘Live page’ where visitors and fans can view any upcoming tour dates and purchase tickets. Lana del Rey is not currently touring but when she is, fans are able to purchase tickets from her website which is something we will include on our website. We will include a ‘Live page’ or a ‘Tour page’ which will allow fans to view any upcoming tour dates within their area and let them purchase tickets. We will also include fan presale opportunities for members of our artist’s fan club.

Music: every artist’s website will have a page dedicated to their current and previous albums or singles. In this case, Lana Del Rey’s music page features all four of her studio albums with links so that the fans can listen, stream and buy her albums.

For our artist’s music page we will feature the album with a link to buy but will only be able to allow fans to listen to one song; Gasoline.

Gallery: Lana Del Rey’s gallery page features multiple photo shoots from different locations which are also featured in her music videos. The page also features photos from her live performances and links to her Instagram page. Our gallery page is very similar in that it features a photo shoot from our music video locations as well as our artist’s Instagram page.

Merchandise: Lana del Rey’s merchandise includes t-shirts and signed posters which are available for fans to purchase.This is something we will include on our artist’s website, offering fans unique merchandise, approved or signed by our artist.We will create unique items which fans can purchase, items including: the album signed by the artist as well as clothing created and designed by Ivory herself.

Finally we will incorporate a page where fans can subscribe to Ivory’s newsletter which will be released every few weeks exclusively to her fans.The newsletter will include comments and words from Ivory herself as well as exclusive information about upcoming tour dates and news headlines about Ivory.

This page will also include links to Ivory’s many social media pages including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
