Web 2.0
Greater opportunities to customise the web for a variety of learning styles.
The gradual integration of computing as a part of the learning and teaching experience is equivalent to an evolutionary process.
This paradigm shift parallels technological developments across sectors of industry and production since the late 1970’s with the introduction of the personal computer.
Web 2.0 is a buzz word or blanket term a shorthand for a set of internet technologies that allow a greater degree of usability and integration aimed at a more fragmented, rich and varied audience.
It could be argued that there is no longer an audience in the traditional sense but individual users.
Principles of collaboration and sharing informing the ethos of Web 2.0 can be re-contextualised for learning and teaching scenarios.
