B. Napoleon Hybrid Wood Furnace (HMF200):1. Description: Hybrid furnaces switch from wood to the secondary heat source
automatically. If the furnace runs out of wood, a second thermostat controlling the optional heating components will automatically engage. During power failures, the wood burning portion uses gravity air flow for emergency heating. Napoleon's Hybrid Series Furnaces are clean burning and certified to (CSA B415.1-10) with efficiency ratings as high as 77.2 percent.

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
A. Do not begin installation until wall openings and rough-in have been properly prepared.
B. If preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
3.2 PREPARATION
A. Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
B. Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
3.3 INSTALLATION
A. Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction.

B. Use manufacturer's guidelines for minimum clearances to combustibles, walls, and finishes.
C. Anchor all components firmly in position.
D. Connect to natural gas system in accordance with NFPA 54.
E. Connect to natural gas system in accordance with CSA B149.1.
F. Connect to propane system in accordance with NFPA 54.
G. Connect to propane system in accordance with CSA B149.1 and B149.2.
H. Connect to power supply and control wiring in accordance with NFPA 70.
I. Connect to power supply and control wiring in accordance with CSA C221.
J. Upon completion of installation, visually inspect all exposed surfaces. Touch up scratches and abrasions with touch up paint recommended by the manufacturer; make imperfections invisible to the unaided eye from a distance of 5 feet.
K. Test for proper operation and adjust until satisfactory results are obtained.
3.4 PROTECTION
A. Protect installed products until completion of project.
B. Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
