Differentiation:Differentiation is defined by the Training and Development Agency for Schools as ‘the process by which differences between learners are accommodated so that all students in a group have the best possible chance of learning’. It has come to be considered an importantskill for any teacher, especially those of mixed-ability classes.

■ Inclusive education is about how we develop and design our schools, classrooms, programs and activities so that all students learn and participate together.” – (InclusionBC, 2012).

What is Inclusive Learning?

• Inclusive learning recognizes that all students have the right to an education.

• Inclusive learning is including each individual child within the classroom no matter what their differences might be.

• It has been proven that if children are included they will most likely be able to learn better. If a child is not included they may not want to continue to further their education.

What is a Learning Disability?

o “A learning disability is a neurological disorder. In simple terms, a learning disability results from a difference in the way a person's brain is "wired."

o -Children with learning disabilities are as smart or smarter than their peers. But they may have difficulty reading, writing, spelling, reasoning, recalling and/or organizing information if left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways.

o -A learning disability can't be cured or fixed; it is a lifelong issue. With the right support and intervention, however, children with learning disabilities can succeed in school and go on to successful, often distinguished careers later in life.”- (WETA, 2015)
