We thought it would be helpful to inform you about the online learning this half term. We’ll be posting weekly work (and daily videos) on Teams and there will be a section for your child to upload their work. Please email [email protected] if you have any problems logging in. Adults who will be in contact with you this half term will be: Ash Class Teacher: Chloe Cedar Class Teacher: Musa Assistant Headteacher: Cheska In Maths we will be learning about fractions, decimals and percentages. In addition to adding and subtracting fractions, we will also revise multiplying and dividing them to help with multi-step word problems. Through Doodle Maths, we’ll be focussing on fluency and accuracy. Please ensure your children are using this as it’s an essential part of our virtual planning. In English we will be applying the grammar skills we’ve learnt over the year to different pieces of writing. We’ll also be setting weekly spelling and grammar tasks which will be available on Teams. In Science we will be learning about evolution and inheritance. This will include learning about: species and variation; adaptations over time and evolution as a result of habitat. We’ll be thinking about plants and animals. In History our topic this term is Women and Equality. We will be linking this with our English tasks so make sure you are looking out for these on the home learning weekly overview. While you’re at home, we’ll also be setting some online Geography tasks. www.oddizzi.com/schools/login Username: homeschool Password: oddizzi This is to ensure the children continue to practise their Geography skills. In SMSC we will be focussing on moving on and transition. This will include a focus on secondary transition. PE:Try and do your Daily Mile! You can run for 12 minutes outside or do 12 minutes of star jumps inside. Look at our weekly home learning for videos you can do at home.

Reading at home: Reading at home should happen for at least twenty minutes 4 times a week. This can include books, newspapers, magazines and websites. You can continue to fill in your reading record. You can also use the Newsround website to read news articles.
