P2 Warty Gruffalos Learning Together at Home 20/5/2020 Literacy Today’s focus is on Handwriting and presentation. We are going to start right at the beginning of the alphabet again to revise our lowercase letter formation and also to check on our capital letter formation. On the blog you will find a links to a short video showing you the correct formation of the capital letters A, B and C and also for precursive lower case a, b and c You will also find a summary of capital and lowercase formation for the whole alphabet which you may wish to print off for reference. Challenge – in your jotter, write a list of proper nouns beginning with a capital A, B or C. Some parents have asked for extra handwriting practice, so I have included a link to a pack of handwriting sheets should you wish to use them. Reading We know that the library is closed and maybe you have read all of the books you have at home already (if you have – well done!) To help you access some more texts we have set up a class login to the Oxford Owl website where you can browse book by age, series, level or topic. Feel free to choose a title which interests you and use it to support your reading at home.

On the blog there is a grid with links to further reading activities which you may explore if you wish.
There is an extra challenge worksheet on the blog which will help you to practise giving and following directions

If you have access to a tablet, you may wish to download the free Bee-Bot app which will help you to improve your directional programming skills.
MusicPractise keeping a steady beat and using your singing voice by playing the clapping game in the video on the blog. Mrs Cross and her daughter had fun practising
