There’s no immediate authoritative group on the homepage. Unless Diet.com is their own authority, there’s no sponsoring group.
Eatright.org
On the homepage, you can tell that the authoritative figure is the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
ACCURACY
Diet.com
A lot of the website does NOT link to other sites. It links
back to itself on a different page.
Information about diets are NOT linked to proven fact.
When clicking on a link to another part of the
webpage, must log in before I can see information.

Information can be obtained from their
public journal and other tabs on the page,
especially the “research” tab. But, to see this, you
must be a member.
Information about diets are cited and linked to/from
reputable sources.
CURRENCY
Diet.com
Copyright is on the bottom of page & date is listed on each article written.

OBJECTIVITY
Diet.com
Information seems to NOT be backed with research,
showing a bit of bias towards what eat diet
needs.
Information is reasonable, though, in comparison with other diets when
researched.
Eatright.org
Information is backed with research, linked to reputable sources,
showing little to no bias.
WHICH WEBSITE?
The website I would use as a resource for information for myself or for my students would be EATRIGHT.ORG. I chose this website because it met all four criteria: authority, accuracy, currency, and objectivity.
