Nick Scott 10/30/12 Section 002 My web 2.0 tool is quikmaps. Quikmaps can be very helpful to you if you are in school because you can use this tool to show where things go on maps. For example if you need to make a map for history about Christopher Columbus you could draw lines from Spain to the United States to show where he all traveled. 1. By the end of class you will be able to: draw lines from one place to another on a map. 2. Put about 5 lines and markers on your map. Getting to quikmaps 1. First you will have to open up a new tab. 2. Next you will type in web 2.0 tools in your address bar. 3. After that you would scroll down to where it says cool tools for schools and click on that. 4. Then you go to mapping tools on the left then click on it and quikmaps will be the second one on your left. Making lines and markers on your map First you will click on draw a map or create an account if you want. Next you will find the spot on your map that you need to draw lines or make certain markers on your map. So if you would need to draw a line from Wisconsin to Illinois this is what you would do… you would click on scribble.
