WATER RESOURCES & STORMWATER PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER OR PROJECT MANAGER Located in Indianapolis, Indiana Get on Board Commonwealth Engineers is seeking a water resources and stormwater engineer for our Indianapolis corporate office. Work will encompass all phases of design including conceptual feasibility evaluations, preparation of design reports, development of contract documents, bidding assistance, and support of construction engineering services. Ideal candidates will have significant experience with the planning and design of storm sewers, detention systems, sustainable green infrastructure, stormwater quality BMPs, dams and levees, and general site civil infrastructure and utilities. Benefits • Competitive base salary • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Long term and short term disability insurance • AD&D coverage • Matching 401(k) & profit sharing • Annual performance bonus • Additional incentive pay for each hour worked in excess of the 40 hour schedule • Paid time off and holidays • Flexible scheduling • Professional development opportunities • Employee outings Job Duties/Responsibilities • Oversee and facilitate stormwater and water resource projects • Perform detailed engineering analyses and calculations pertaining to storm sewer design and layout, ditch drainage capacities, water quality, detention routing, levees, dams, and rivers • Assemble technical reports/exhibits and construction plans/details • Review small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses • Mentor staff and ensure deadlines are met • Support other projects such as water and wastewater utility design when needed Qualifications/Skills • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Similar Discipline (graduate degree is a plus) • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Indiana (or ability to obtain reciprocity) • Valid drivers license • Experience with hydrology and hydraulics modeling software such as SWMM, HEC RAS, HEC HMS, TR20, HY8 • Experience with Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) design and permitting experience is a plus • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and in team environments • Strong work ethic and organizational skills How To Apply Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter and resume to Hannah Jobe at [email protected] or apply online at commonwealthengineers.com/careers.
